Virtuosity.... my new one

I was clueless when I started with this one... mostly an empty canvas, some random colors as remnants from Friday night's intoxicated dreams, added with very odd, frenzy mood over the weekend.

All I could think of, is about the color yellow, green and pair of grey-blue eyes, that has dominated my week. The eyes were thoughtless, improvising and had visible strain lines, from long exposure to the modern day e-readings. I don't know how they found their way to my disrupted dreams as they dominated the script of my thought flow.

I was curious to conjure the lose ends and make a picture and as I tried to think through, it all came back as flash of colors and drops of blood. Instantly, I was scared and went back to my Bible (The Interpretation of Dreams: Sigmund Freud).

The analogy said that the color Yellow:

Has both positive and negative connotations. If the dream is a pleasant one, then the color yellow is symbolic of intellect, energy, agility, happiness, harmony, and wisdom. On the other hand, if the dream is an unpleasant one, then the color represents deceit, disgrace, betrayal, cowardice and sickness.

The color Green:

Signifies a positive change, good health, growth, fertility, healing, hope, vigor, vitality, peace, and serenity. The appearance of the color may also be a way of telling you to "go ahead". Alternatively, green is a metaphor for a lack of experience in some task.
To "be green", means that you are environmentally conscious. Green is also symbolic of your strive to gain recognition and establish your independence. Money, wealth and jealousy are often associated with this color.

Blood represents:

Life, love, and passion as well as disappointments. To dream that you are bleeding or losing blood, signifies that you are suffering from exhaustion or that you are feeling emotionally drained. It may also denote bitter confrontations between you and your friends. Your past actions has come back to haunt you.

Well to be honest I do not remember where the blood came from, but surely they were dripping.

Alas! I couldn't make much sense of my dream but I wanted to capture the essence of it, before I lose the trail of thoughts.

Hence I painted what I saw or experienced on 27th March 2011. I call this painting 'Virtuosity' and not because its a fancy for intellectual savoring, but because it was never and would never be real.

So, until next time.............
